
What is B&I?
Business & Industry is a broad-based business information database that focuses on
facts, figures, events and market information about companies, industries, products and
markets. It covers all industries and is international in scope. B&I draws
content from over 1000 trade and industry publications, regional, national and
international newspapers, business dailies and newsletters.
When to use B&I?
Use B&I when you want to find company, industry, market and product
information.
How to use B&I?
Business & Industry may be searched by entering words or word phrases in the
"Word or Phrase" field. Words or phrases may be joined with Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) to develop more complex search
statements. For greater precision in the searching process enter words, terms or names
into the "Title" and/or "Company Name" fields. Additionally, you
may select terms from the text boxes which include, Concept Terms, Marketing Terms,
Industry Names, SIC/Product Codes, Document Types, Geographic Names, and Journal Names.
While entries to these fields are not required, the use of these fields will produce more
precise retrieval results.
